CHS FOOTBALL TEAM - 2011
Division I -Coach of the year: Eric Brown of Concord
They were everyone's favorite story when they started 2-0 and then a young team got hit with the iron of the schedule. Concord kept improving though behind quarterback/defensive stand-out Graham McIntire and finished strong in a tough
loss to Pinkerton and a win over Salem. With McIntire and running back Tolbert Nemo back next year this is a team to watch...and isn't the Division I race more
fun when Concord is involved?

Crimson Tide Football
Welcome to the Concord High Football website. My name is Eric Brown and I am the Head Football Coach of the Crimson Tide. If you have any questions about any of the information that follows please don’t hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at Concord High: 225-0800 x 6107, home: 226-4166, or cell: 724-8201.
If you are new to the area or new to Concord High please contact me to help make the transition easier for you and your student/athlete.
The following is a tentative schedule for the 2011 Crimson Tide Football Program:
*The Loudon Race Track fundraiser is scheduled for July 17th. This is a mandatory fundraiser for all football players! If any parents would like to volunteer as well, we would appreciate your efforts. (Please be at the Department of Transportation on Hazen Drive no later than 2:30pm) Bus departs at 3pm!
We are also scheduled to fundraise at the second Loudon race on Sept. 25th. It is mandatory that all football players attend this as well!
*The other major fundraiser is selling the Gold Cards. The “blitz day” for that is Saturday, Aug. 20th. Time: TBD
*The Football Family/Team BBQ will also be Sat. Aug 20th. Time: TBD
Summer Weight Training: The weight room will be opened once again 2 times per day. 9am-10:30am and 6-7:30pm. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is expected that football players attend one session per day.
Summer Passing League: 6-8pm at Rundlett Middle School and/or Bow High School…6/23, 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28, 8/4. Varsity only (10-12 graders) at this time.
All incoming freshman must have physicals on file prior to August 10th in the Concord High Athletic Office. If you are in grades 10-12 and have not played a sport at Concord High you must have a physical on file prior to August 10th in the Concord High Athletic Office. Team physicals will be held at CHS in the Nurses’ Office on Thursday, August 4th at 10:00 a.m. (these appointments are only for those who are unable to schedule an appointment with their own physician) Please call the Athletic Office ahead of time to schedule an appointment.

Monday, August 8th at 8:00 a.m. ALL football players to be fitted for their helmets. This will take place in the Concord High football lockeroom.
Also that day all football players will be taking an ImPact test for our new concussion management program. Plan on being at the school for at least 2 hours.
All other equipment will be distributed to the players 8/10, 8/11, and 8/12.
*Practice begins Wednesday Aug. 10th! All grades 9-12. (see below)
*Last year we implemented a new practice format with great success. We will be following that format again this year. We will be practicing (on the field) from 8AM until approx. 12:30PM. (practice times are flexible). After 12:30 we will break for lunch and have team meetings, etc. until approx. 2PM. If there are no meetings…the players will be allowed to go home. Any Doctors or Dental appointments, etc. should be made at this time (after 2pm) so that practice time will not be missed! This saves a tremendous amount of time not walking back and forth to Rundlett twice a day, while giving the players more rest between practices! This will be an adjustment for everyone, but one I feel is in the best interest of the football program!
As of now, the Varsity, JV, and Freshman are scheduled to scrimmage Laconia High School on Friday 8/19 at Memorial Field at 10AM. Freshman (tentative) at Rundlett at 10 AM.
The Freshman, JV, and Varsity will be scrimmaging Dover @ Dover on 8/23. Freshman will scrimmage at 5PM and Varsity & JV at 7PM.
Our final scrimmage will be at Away on 8/27 vs. Merrimack HS @ 10AM. This will be a game type scrimmage for both Varsity and JV.
The last official day of pre-season practice is 8/26.
8/29 is the first day of school for teachers. Practices from this day forward are at 3:15 (on the field) until “approximately” 6pm.
8/30—first day of school for freshman students
8/31 - entire school to start
8/31 - entire school to start
